After the city was burnt down, you have to have restart building a city ground-up while defending enemies, exploring & hunting and reclaim lost technologies.
It is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer game with new art & animation style, set to release on Steam for PC.
My role in this game – Gameplay & Tools Programmer (Consultant)
— Implemented isometric lane-based navigation with in-memory path caching for efficient movement
— Built NPC life-simulation systems (tasks, routines, defence, resource handling)
— Developed modular narrative and dialogue systems
— Built flexible quest and branching event systems
— Implemented queue-based asynchronous event processing system
Editor Tools & Pipelines
— Created custom animation state machine editor for Spine2D exports
— Built in-scene editor tools for authoring isometric 2D lanes and navigation paths
— Built behaviour and schedule editors for configuring NPC tasks and routines
— Developed data-driven editors for simulation systems (construction, resources, weather)
Optimisation & Mentoring
— Improved stability and performance across simulation and navigation systems using profiling and data-oriented design
— Mentored team members on technical architecture, tooling, and production workflows
