My role in this game – Game Programmer

  • — Wrote the server code for live syncronization using SmartFox Server in Java
  • — Built the authentication system & tracking player data
  • — Debuged server for scaling & checking for any memory leaks

Gameplay

  • — Implemented server-side event handling for connection, reconnection, and authentication flows
  • — Configured and tuned vehicle physics using Unity and third-party physics libraries
  • — Built a Bézier-curve-based track authoring tool and frontend ranking system
  • — Implemented power-up systems including rockets, speed boosts, and shock abilities
  • — Worked with design team to configure occlusion and LODs for performance optimisation
